

Introduction to Smoke Control

Course Overview:
Smoke control systems are specified in Chapter 9 of the International Building Code and are mandated by NFPA. Systems include architectural features, fans, air intakes and exhaust, sensors, and the control panel. This course will walk you through, in detail, an introductory overview of smoke control systems in commercial and healthcare facilities.
Course length: Approximately 2.5 hours
Learning Objectives:
In this course, students will gain an introduction to Smoke Control Systems and their importance to a facility’s overall fire protection system.
