Elevator Curtain Inspection Training Curriculum
Elevator lobby smoke curtains and fire curtains are required to be inspected no less than annually per NFPA 80. Chapter 21 of the 2019 edition of NFPA 80 is the standard fire protective curtain assemblies used to protect the vertical opening of the elevator hoistway. If the curtain is labeled and listed per UL 10D, then the inspection must be completed per code requirements.
